In AdelTrade portal we have many uses for cryptocurrencies such as ETH, ADL or USDT. This tutorial with pictures will guide you on how to add USDT on the Polygon network in your MetaMask wallet, so you can purchase an entry fee for our paid competitions.

Step 1: Create an Ethereum Wallet and Verify It on AdelTrade Portal

If you don’t have an Ethereum wallet we made a tutorial that will guide you on how to create one here: https://adeltrade.medium.com/how-to-set-up-an-eth-wallet-with-metamask-c8b0323323d5

Once you have your ETH wallet you’ll need to verify it on our AdelTrade portal. Please follow this guide on how to do that: https://medium.com/@adeltrade/verifying-your-eth-address-in-adeltrade-portal-6a935f55857a

Step 2: Add Polygon Network in MetaMask

After you log in to your MetaMask you will see in the top left corner a button where it shows what blockchain network you are currently using.

Once you press on it you will see several options, please select “Polygon” network.

In case you are using a different wallet here are the details for the Polygon network:

Step 3: Fund Your Wallet with MATIC

Purchase MATIC tokens from a cryptocurrency exchange such as Binance, Coinbase, or any other exchange that supports MATIC.

The MATIC token is a gas fee token on the Polygon network (used as a fee for making transactions, etc.) and you will also need it to buy USDT on Polygon if you decide to use a decentralized exchange like Sushiswap to purchase it. In that case, we recommend purchasing enough MATIC that its dollar value is sufficient to purchase the necessary amount of USDT for at least one contest payment plus 1–2 USDT worth of MATIC for gas fees.

Then withdraw MATIC from the exchange and send it to your MetaMask or chosen wallet address. Use the Polygon network for the transaction!

Step 4: Get USDT

Choose a platform where you can buy USDT. Decentralized exchanges like Sushiswap or centralized exchanges like Binance, Coinbase or Kraken are common options.

If you decide to use a centralized exchange trade or buy enough USDT to cover the competition entry fee plus the transaction fee for withdrawal from the exchange. Please follow the instructions on your chosen platform to complete the trade.

Once the trade is complete, withdraw the USDT to your MetaMask wallet. Don’t forget to use the Polygon network for the transaction!

If you prefer to buy USDT directly from a decentralized exchange like Sushiswap on the Polygon network, you can exchange it for the MATIC you previously funded your wallet with. All you have to do is connect your MetaMask wallet and do the swap.

Now, your Ethereum wallet, connected to the Polygon network, is funded with MATIC and has USDT for contest payments. Make sure to double-check transaction details and use secure platforms for exchanges to ensure the safety of your assets.

Not seeing USDT on your MetaMask?

If you don’t see your USDT on your MetaMask wallet then you will have to import the token. Make sure you are connected to the Polygon network. Press the button “Import tokens” in the lower left corner.

After you will need to type the USDT Token contract address for the Polygon network which is “0xc2132D05D31c914a87C6611C10748AEb04B58e8F” and press “Next”.

Then it will ask you if you would like to import the token. Click on “Import”.

You should be able to see the USDT on your Polygon network now!
